The VIBE Ambassadors Project

The goal of the Vibe Youth ambassadors project is to inspire and equip the next generation of leaders

Vibe Youth Ambassadors Project

At VIBE Youth CIC, we believe that real change begins with real voices, especially those of young people who have lived through adversity and transformation. The Ambassador Project is our flagship youth leadership and empowerment programme, developed to unlock the potential of young people, particularly those from marginalised, underserved, or excluded communities.

This project isn’t just about giving young people a platform, it’s about equipping them with the tools, language, and confidence to use it meaningfully.

What is the Ambassador Project?

The Ambassador Project is a peer-led development journey designed to cultivate future leaders, change-makers, and community advocates. It supports young people aged 13–25 to grow in emotional resilience, communication, and leadership, while offering them a safe space to explore their identity, challenge injustice, and channel their lived experiences into positive social action.

Ambassadors are mentored by experienced youth workers, coaches, and facilitators who guide them through a structured programme combining:

  • Personal development (confidence-building, self-awareness, mental health literacy)

  • Social justice education (anti-racism, inequality, lived experience perspectives)

  • Skills for life (public speaking, facilitation, co-production, team collaboration)

  • Real-world opportunities (co-delivery of training, peer mentoring, event planning)

Why it Matters

Too often, the voices of young people, especially those facing systemic disadvantage are excluded from decisions that affect them. The Ambassador Project challenges this by placing young people at the centre of change.

Ambassadors don’t just grow as individuals; they become part of something larger. They:

  • Deliver workshops alongside professionals

  • Co-design services with local authorities and schools

  • Facilitate conversations in prisons, care homes, and community events

  • Influence policy by sharing their experiences in public forums

The Impact

The project has led to tangible change at individual, organisational, and community levels:

  • Increased confidence and agency among participants, with many moving into employment, further education, or leadership roles.

  • Youth-informed service delivery, where local agencies benefit from authentic, peer-led input into programme design.

  • Bridging divides across generations, cultures, and communities through storytelling, performance, and shared dialogue.

One participant shared:
“Before this, I never thought I had a voice. Now I know my voice matters—and I know how to use it to help others.”

We welcome collaborations with schools, youth services, criminal justice agencies, housing providers, and community groups who want to reimagine what youth participation looks like not as a tick-box, but as a meaningful, sustained investment in the next generation.
