Ian is an accomplished Director with a proven track record across business membership organisations, public affairs, and the private sector. His areas of expertise include negotiation, business planning, coaching, government liaison, and strategic relationship building.

He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at Thomas Carroll, sits on the Board of Governors at Gower College, and is a member of the Industry Advisory Board at Cardiff Business School. Ian is also Chair of VIBE Youth CIC and serves on the Board of The Prince’s Trust in Wales.

Ian previously led the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) in Wales through some of its most challenging periods, including the Covid-19 pandemic, Brexit, and significant internal transitions. These experiences demanded strong crisis management skills and offered valuable lessons in leadership, adaptability, and resilience.
